1. Please arrive 15-20 minutes before class to register. Advise the teacher about any particular injuries or health problems you might have.

2. Wear something loose and comfortable, the less clothing the better: ladies can wear leotard or shorts; men wear shorts or bathing trunks. No bags, shoes, socks or cell phones are permitted in the studio.

3. Drink plenty of water before class and come on an empty stomach (try not to eat at least 2 hours before).

4. Yoga mats are required. Bring yours or rent or buy ours. Bring an extra clean towel for a shower after class (or rent ours). Please change and shower quickly as a courtesy to fellow students.

5. Bring your own plastic bottled water or buy ours which is chilled.

6. Please be prepared not to leave the room for 90 minutes once class has started. If you feel dizzy or nauseated from the heat, just lie down and rest. Toxins are releasing from the body. The fuzzy, funny feeling will pass quickly.

7. Students are refrained from speaking during class as the teacher will be constantly instructing students through the postures. Laughter, tears and moans are anticipated.

8. Please take time to relax quietly on the floor for a few minutes after class ends. This is your reward for working hard, so enjoy it!

In Bikram's beginning yoga class, each posture stretches and strengthens the specific muscles, ligaments and joints needed for the next posture. The Bikram method also stimulates the organs, glands and nerves, moving fresh, oxygenated blood to 100 percent of the body, restoring all systems to healthy, working order.

Many athletes, including Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and John McEnroe, attribute lack of injuries and longevity in their sport to this yoga. Business and other professionals report increased mental clarity and physical energy. Bikram students agree that it helps them to lose weight, reduce stress, TO LOOK GOOD AND FEEL GREAT!
